Livia followed the girl to the landlord’s house. The roof was covered with thick thatch, and wisps of smoke curled from the chimney.

The air was filled with the aroma of bread and fresh vegetation.

It was a large house, half of which the landlord lived in, and the other half she had divided into many small rooms.

At that moment, the landlord, with her plump body bent over, was dragging Livia’s wooden box out.

“Lady Sandra?!”

“Livia, you still can’t pay the rent, can you?”

Sandra stopped, one hand on her hip, a hint of displeasure on her heavily made-up face.

Livia’s heart sank.

She smiled awkwardly, “I… I will definitely gather the money today.”

The landlord shook her head, her tone stern.

“No! I’ve given you enough time.”

Livia rubbed her hands bitterly.

She had no family or friends in this world, only this small satchel, a box with some old belongings, and a dilapidated rented room.

If she lost her accommodation, she would have nowhere to go.

“I… I will definitely earn money today, please wait for me a little longer.”

Livia’s voice held a hint of pleading, but even such a simple wish could not be granted.

“Take your things and get out, hmph, short-lived white-haired ghost.”

A hint of jealousy and hatred flashed in Sandra’s eyes as she kicked over the wooden box with the tip of her boot, scattering its contents onto the ground, covered in mud.

“You!”

Livia felt her blood roar in her eardrums.

Before transmigration, she had been an only child from childhood to adulthood. Although not harmonious, it was peaceful. She had never experienced having her belongings kicked over and being driven out, becoming homeless.

A deep sense of powerlessness immediately enveloped her.

She wanted to complain, but there was no one around to listen. She wanted to get angry, but even if she did, she was in the wrong.

She could only hurriedly stoop to gather her scattered belongings into the wooden box, biting her lower lip.

“Little Livia… Oh, right, the adventurer’s guild in town posted quite a few new commission tasks last night, you could try them.”

A passing man, seemingly noticing Livia’s predicament, kindly reminded her.

“Adventurer’s Guild? Thank you…”

Livia knew it was located north of the town.

Of course, she had confidently gone to check on the first day, thinking of taking on some richly rewarded commissions and becoming famous.

But the reality was finding lost cats, tracking down cheating husbands, and helping to look after crying children.

They were all thankless, low-paying, and pitiful commissions.

“But… have they posted new ones?”

She carefully put her things away, dusted off her clothes, and then patted the dust off the wooden box. She let out a long sigh and headed towards the town center, carrying it.

Life, you know.

You have to look forward.

Whatever the difficulties, let’s just do it!

Livia sniffled.

Perhaps, in this world with magic, she could find a way to teleport back.

Being alone felt terrible, lonely and desolate. She missed her only good friend.

“Damn it…”

Thinking of her good buddy, who was probably drinking soda and playing video games right now, she wished she could drag him over and get thrown in jail together!

As she fantasized…

Livia stood before a two-story building, tilting her small head up.

A wooden sign with “Adventurer’s Guild” hung at the entrance.

Livia pushed open the door and walked into the guild hall with the chime of a wind bell.

The hall was bustling with activity, vastly different from a few days ago, filled with adventurers in leather armor, holding sharp swords.

A large commission board hung on the wall, covered with various commission tasks.

Livia walked up to the commission board and carefully examined it.

“Find the missing flock of sheep, reward five copper coins.”

“Clear the goblins on the hillside, bring back their heads and bone chains, five silver coins per goblin.”

“Escort a merchant caravan to the neighboring town, reward twenty copper coins.”

Standing before the oak notice board, Livia’s gaze suddenly froze.

Goblins.

Five silver coins.

The glaring three words did not escape her sharp little eyes.

After confirming she had read it correctly, Livia couldn’t help but let out a soft hum.

“Hmph hmph, sending money, right~ Buddy~?”

In this world, one silver coin was equivalent to one hundred copper coins. Killing a goblin rewarded five hundred copper coins; wasn’t this a windfall?

Livia’s heart surged, and she was filled with enthusiasm.

They were just goblins!

In her impression, they were utterly weak, equivalent to slimes in this other world, like stray dogs on the roadside that could be easily kicked to death!

The last time she came, she hadn’t found any combat commissions. She never expected to strike such great luck this time!

Without a second thought, Livia immediately accepted the commission.

At the counter, Catherine’s eyes widened, shifting between the commission and Livia.

“Little one, this isn’t child’s play. Goblins are powerful. Why would you, a child, accept such a commission!?”

“Hahaha, powerful? Are you kidding me? A mere goblin, what’s there to fear!”

Livia tossed her head, completely unconcerned, even worried that someone might snatch it up before her.

Disregarding Catherine’s dissuasion behind her, she took out her prepared items from the wooden box, temporarily stored the box there, and then dashed out.

Finally, a combat commission had appeared, and if she could kill one, she would instantly have enough travel expenses to go to a big city, never having to stay in this border town again.

A good life was within reach!

Livia felt incredibly excited.

A man of spirit born between heaven and earth, how could he languish in this small border town, merely surviving by selling small items.

Even bound by this delicate body, she had no intention of just lying flat and contentedly being a beautiful useless person.

Killing slimes and goblins, exchanging spoils for money, going to a big city to do business and make more profit, eventually living in a large villa, and then hiring a hundred maids to feed her.

This was the life she wanted!

Even with such excitement, Livia didn’t go looking for goblins empty-handed. She held the three old iron pipes in her hand and found a rope to tie them tightly together.

These were items Livia had collected on the second day, picked up near the town’s blacksmith shop. Because they were defective, no one wanted them.

Since she couldn’t find combat commissions before, they had been stored in the box, and now it was time for them to be useful!

Perhaps due to a cutting error, the tips of the iron pipes were very sharp and uneven, enough to injure the skin. If three were tied together, they would form a simple spear.

An inch longer, an inch stronger!

In her memory, goblins were quite short, at most only a little taller than her, but also short-limbed, holding some sort of short cleaver.

Watch this great me use a spear to pull and kill it!

As Livia ran forward with her head down, she suddenly bumped into something soft and dough-like.

It had extremely high elasticity, almost bouncing the white-haired loli away.

At the same time, a crisp and spoiled voice echoed in her ears.

“Damn, you’re not watching where you’re going, are you a Star Player?”

“What StarCraft, you too…”

Who are you calling blind!

Livia retorted subconsciously in her mind, then her eyes suddenly widened.

Wait.

StarCraft?

Something is wrong!!!
